 We all have heard the argument that some people distinguish between the mission accomplisher and the mission instigator as it were. So, I guess we are always going to duel on the issue and probably waste some invaluable time in what appears to be some hopeless task of where to place the blame as long as we could not solve the famous adage “Which came first - the chicken or the egg?”

 For all the lofty ideals under which the (UN) United Nations (former League of Nations) was founded, one wonders if its real mission may have been totally misunderstood or exaggerated by most of us. Certainly, one is at a loss (complete loss) trying to decipher the working mechanisms and indeed the intent of the United Nations Security Council, UNSC.

It has been said before and we all have heard it to a point of ad nauseam how the notorious Weyane hoodlums have fought for nothing less than Eritrean independence more so than the Eritrean independence organizations themselves. As bizarre and as something hard to believe as the claim might sound, it actually is a perfect fit to their crooked way of thinking.

Although it is not new to any observer of various Ethiopian regimes’ voracious appetite to subjugate and dominate all the countries of the Horn in general and Eritrea in particular, Dr. Yacob Hailemariam’s latest drooling over Eritrean assets is comical. Actually if it weren’t for its serious implications, it would be hilarious. Setting aside his academic credentials, Dr. Yacob apparently never understood the common adage that states “You can’t have your cake and eat it too”. It is simply impossible, mister.
