Freedom of Worship and National Security – Need Not Be Mutually Exclusive Print E-mail
Written by Berhane Alazar
Sunday, 28 October 2007
Long before it had become the fashion of the day, the Eritrean people had never had to think twice to freely practice a religion of their choice. For centuries, that has been and still is the case for the majority of the Eritrean people who happen to espouse Christianity and Islam. Freedom of worship is equally true to the minority of Eritreans who may practice some spiritual belief other than the Islam and Christian faiths.

View from Asmara - Hard to believe war near as Asmara remains peaceful Print E-mail
Written by Thomas Mountain

ImageWar with Weyane in a few days, a week or so? Hard to believe when considering how peaceful and calm Asmara is. No one talks about war, no one even seems to be preparing for war, so it is almost surreal to think it is so close. Our leaders have made it clear that this time weyane is going to be finished once and for all, something to cheer the heart, though who in their right mind would really look forward to another war.

Press Release Acrobatics by the Minority Regime in Ethiopia will not change facts on the Ground Print E-mail

ImageOK Let us see who is spinning when it comes to the EEBC ruling and the recent Report of the Eritrea-Ethiopia Boundary Commission. The Minority regime in Addis, to prolong it's hold on power as a means of survival has been turning the wheel over and over again as well as stealing every trick in the bag to convince people that it is not breaking the law that it promised to in Algeria in front of the international community.

The Media and Their Spoon Fed Stories - Courtesy of the Sworn Enemies of Eritrea Print E-mail
Written by Berhane Alazar

Have you ever wondered how could a Bona fide Eritrean with blood connection and with living close relatives in Eritrea work against the interests of his country and people? Could it be for the simple reason of getting some vengeance against someone or some group of people for which he may have an axe to grind?

Words to the Wise Print E-mail
Written by Amanuel Tseggai
Monday, 15 October 2007
Our forefather believed all along that one’s wisdom in dealing with problems would have a determining effect on its outcome. In other words, a farsighted person who looks at and deals with issues with broadmindedness and make decisions based on his/her past experiences is more likely to come out victorious.

The America that could be... Print E-mail
Written by Berhane Alazar
Saturday, 13 October 2007
ImageThe United States is more than often recognized as a “land of opportunity”. Indeed, there are opportunities for a person to weave into the American fabric and achieve some success, which is only limited by one’s imagination. This can be achieved by one acquiring the necessary education and skills to earn a decent living if he or she works for it.
