ImageThe TPLF regime, as a result of its intrigues and wicked policies is facing massive armed and unarmed opposition from within Ethiopia. After invading Somalia in the hope of escaping from this growing opposition at home as well as to momentarily avoid its demise by appeasing its masters, the TPLF regime is now up against more forceful popular opposition and is marching to its inevitable demise at a hastened pace.

It is always difficult to undo or even correct an irreversible strategic mistake, which is why the TPLF regime has no other alternative but to continue running along the destructive path it has already embarked. The only option this servant regime has been left with at this juncture is to use Eritrea as a scapegoat for its strategic mistakes in a desperate attempt to create as much havoc as it can for the Eritrean people before it lands in its grave. The TPLF regime spared no effort to create division between the Eritrean people and its leadership without any success and lately has been forced to admit that the Eritrean people are not entirely different from their government.

Although the TPLF regime's desperate final hour decisions at this point can to some extent affect the peace and stability of the Horn region, there is no doubt that in the end all they will be able to accomplish is accelerate the regime's downfall.

Under such circumstances, the people and Government of Eritrea have no choice but to challenge these final hour decisions and measures. The TPLF regime and its collaborators should consider before hand that the war drums they are currently beating will only bring them failure and disgrace. As for the Ethiopian people, they should defend themselves from becoming the sacrificial lamb for the fourth time.
