RESOLUTION

Recognizing the Eritrean men and women who sacrificed their lives for Eritrea’s independence and continue to defend its freedom, and from whose blood, a new generation will bloom.

We, the YPFDJ members and participants of the historic October 5-8, 2007 conference in Toronto, Canada, unanimously agree to: 

1. Support and defend the values, principles and programs of PFDJ in making Eritrea a viable and sustainable country
2. Consolidate and expand the YPFDJ youth movement across our communities
3. Raise the political consciousness, awareness and critical thinking of our communities through education and the spread of information
4. Empower the youth and upcoming generations by instilling in them a sense of pride in and responsibility to advance their national heritage, culture and identity
5. Strengthen the unity of our people to combat campaigns to divide and psychologically destroy our communities and country
6. Actively contribute to and serve national organizations in our communities
7. Become the forefront in informing the international community on a wide scale about Eritrea’s reality, history and vision, and dispelling misinformation

In tandem with the worldwide YPFDJ support of the Eritrean Government and the PFDJ, we affirm that we will support and defend Eritrea’s existence and its political, economic and cultural viability and sustainability.
