Asmara, 25 October 2007 - President Isaias Afwerki said that Eritrea supports the political process scheduled to be the focus of discussions in Libya next Saturday towards resolving the Darfur issue. He made the remarks today when he received and held talks with Dr. Nafie Ali Nafie, the Sudanese Presidential Assistant.
The President also affirmed Eritrea’s readiness, as part of the regional initiative, to play its due role in coordination with Libya, Chad, Egypt, the UN and the African Union.
