Successful Hzbawi Mekete in Amsterdam

Eritreans living in the city of Amsterdam, Holland and its environs held a public meeting on Saturday, November 3 2007. There were more than 280 Eritrean citizens attended the public meeting. They raised the issues of the TPLF’s regime refusal to implement the border ruling of the EEBC and the US State Department’s recent threat to include the State of Eritrea in the list of states sponsoring terrorism.

After extensive discussions the participants of the Amsterdam’s Hzbawi Mekete passed the following statements as a resolution of Hzbawi Mekete Amsterdam 03/11/2007.

The issue of border conflict of Eritrea and Ethiopia should be solely solved according the Algiers Agreement and EEBC’ruling of 13/04/2202. We also condemn any mechanism out side the Algiers Agreement and The Hague ruling.
We strongly condemn the acts of defamation against the people and Government of Eritrea.
We also condemn for those who are trying to dismantle the Eritrean people’s unity.
We are ready to protect our national sovereignty and to fulfil anything that required of us.
We support our governments successful developmental campaign, which is aimed to ensure Eritrea’s food security and future prosperity.
We support Eritrea’s effort to promote peace and development in the region in general and in the Horn of Africa in particular.
We ensure our readiness to tackle for any eventual threat that comes toward Eritrea.
In the Name of all Eritreans living in Amsterdam and its environs, we reaffirm our readiness to defend our country and support our people.
