The gathering on this Sunday afternoon showed the solidarity of the diaspora with the Eritrean Govt., the Eritrean defense forces, and the population at large in making a statement that clearly indicates when it comes to the sovereignty and well being of Eritrea, the secret weapon that has long worked in overcoming obstacles will be unleashed. The weapon is not some armed machine but the weapon of choice for Eritreans a peaceful & strong human intelligence known as "Unity" or in Tigrinia "Hadnet".

While a few handful individuals at Foggy Bottom in Washington DC continue to spew hate and clearly work in favor of a very dangerous regime in Addis, the government and people of Eritrea together with one mission are standing up against the biased treatment of the Eritrean nation that was created through the blood, sweat, and tears of thousands who will never be forgotten.The entire world was a witness what this small but strong nation had to endure. As if the past history of Eritrea was not enough the continued delegation of foreign policy advisers and officials with an agenda and motive from different American administrations can't and will never deter the Eritrean people from standing up for their full rights that they earned against all odds.

Excellent presentations by all guests and the interaction from the large audience once again showed Eritrea has a truly unique people who love their country through thick and thin. While powerful nations make policies to destroy and dictate the way smaller nations are run Eritrea and Eritreans have taken on the super powers with wisdom, patience and a stance for the rule of law while building and protecting themselves from vultures and neighbours that are the tool of a few handful policy makers.

It is very important to note that the few handful policy makers are not going to break a determined nation that strictly follows rules and regulations while working to foster relations among the people of the world and especially the horn of Africa. Those policy makers who come into decision making as a result of elections are not popular at all at this moment and speaking up and engaging them for their deeds is the responsibility of every Eritrean. To let them know that as citizens of the United States who came from Eritrea, there has to be accountability on the unfair treatment of this peace loving nation.

Eritreans play a big role in many sectors of the American society and Eritreans for a long time have paid their dues like other immigrant communities and they need to be respected. They have proven that over and over again when it comes to their adopted homeland. A clear indication is the pledge they have made to contribute financial assistance to their people and Govt. back home to defend their nation from any type of aggression.

The border must be demarcated and the rule of law must prevail. The Pillars are ready to go up the paper work has been finalized and the party that reneges on it's agreement should pay the price. Normalization of the horn can only begin when the border is demarcated. By prolonging the verdict the small clique of leaders in Addis supported by a small number of people at foggy bottom and the very tiny portion of ant-Eritrea mercenaries the idea of creating dissent to move the vision of the Eritrean people in the wrong direction will not and can't work. This Hizbawi Mekete was a great example of Eritreans coming together as usual to stand up for their rights in solidarity with their Government.

What made this event even more exciting is that the youth played a big role and they made everyone proud and that their consciousness of Eritrea's continuous struggle is embedded deep in their heart.
