| More extra judicial killings, detentions reported in Ogaden |

Nov 25, 2007 Our reporters throughout Ogaden continue to report extra judicial killing sprees and mass detentions carried out by the Ethiopian military throughout Ogaden. In almost every Ogaden city our reporters detail killings in broad daylight as well as mass detentions of Ogaden civilians.
In one such killing, on the twenty-second of this month, the Ethiopian military killed two men in the town of Malqaqa. The names of the deceased are: 1- the son of Aw Aaden Xasan Nuur who our reporters have not confirmed his first name at the time of going to press. 2- the son of Maxamuud Yuusuf Fidhin whose first name has not been confirmed yet. On the sixteen of this month in the city of Fiiq, the Ethiopian military extra judicially killed three students. As if extra judicial killings alone were not bad enough, the Ethiopians barred anyone from burying the three dead students. As a result the corpses of these three dead students lay on display in the city center for more than a day. The names of the deceased students are: 1- Maxamed Maxamuud Sheekh 2- Nuur Cabdi Xuseen and 3- Maxamed C/llaahi Sh Ismaaciil On the twentieth of this month and in the town of Lix-irridoodka the Ethiopian military rounded up many civilians whose whereabouts are unknown to this day. The names of the civilians abducted by the Ethiopians include: 1- Nuur C/llaahi Wagan 2- Farxaan- Full name unknown at this time. 3- the son of Xayle Full name unknown at this time. Our reporter in the city of Caado confirms confiscation of property and severe torture meted out by the Ethiopian military in the city. The Ethiopians took lots of property from the city dwellers as confirmed by eyewitnesses. Our reporter has not succeeded yet in compiling a list of those affected by the confiscation of property. However one name he was able to confirm so is that of teacher Siyaad Maxamed Yuusuf who lost seven thousand Birs, a fortune in Ogaden. He is said to have lost also two sacks of sugar, a highly sought after commodity, and one sack of rice. Some of the detained in other parts of Ogaden are as follows: 1- Xasan Aw Khaliif - detained in his shop. He also lost 5,000 Birs. 2- Afyare Baaruud who was fined by the Ethiopians for 5000 Birs. 3- Raxmo Maxamed Muxumed who was also fined 5000 Birs. 4- Maryan Maxamed Muxumed who was also fined 5000 Birs. 5- Xaaji Cabdi Kood who was also fined 5000 Birs . 6- Cabdi Maxamed Barkhadle who was also fined 5000 Birs. 7- Cali Ciilmooge who was also fined 5000 Birs. 8- Shukri Maxamed Duhur. 9- Xuseen Barre Cabdi Wacays. 10- Cabdi Nuur Barre. Else where in Ogaden, the following detentions took place: 1- Sahra Ducaale 2- Ubax Cumar Nuur 3- Ifraax Daahir 4- Faadumo Gaani 5- Cibaado Oomaar 6- Faadumo Jeelle Muxumed 7- Nuur Siraaje Xuseen 8- Bishaaro Axmed Janna-gale 9- Muqadin Gaas 10- Haweeya Axmed Godane 11- Sacda Godane 12- Xaashi Sh Maxamed 13- Saxane Nigaase 14- Raxmo Maxamed C/llaahi 15- Hinda Yuusuf Horor 16- Tamaan Mahad Baddal iyo 17- Khadra C/llaahi Detentions in Sagag: 1- Cali Sh Maxamed 2- Maxamuud Carab 3- Nuur Carab 4- Xasan Axmed Guulab 5- Dhaga-laab Maxamed Askar 6- Aw Guun Macalin Shafeec 7- Deeq Cabdi Cismaan 8- Sahra Sh Mukhtaar 9- Tamad Sh Cabdi 10- Faadumo Muxumed 11- Safiya C/qaadir 12- Xamdiya Khaliif Cali 13- Ruqiya Cabdi Axmed 14- Ruqiya Sh Cabdi Indhoole iyo 15- Cabdi Daahir 16- Axmed Cabdi Madoobe (Fagadhe) 17- Ina Maxamed Yuusuf iyo 18- Maxamed Muxumed Yuusuf Bashuuro which is part of Fiiq, the following were detained: 1- Hinda Yuusuf iyo 2- Raxmo Carab 3- Tamad Mahdi Budul iyo 4- Khadra Daahir Ismaaciil In Aloosane, which is also part of Fiiq a woman by the name Ayaan Cabdi Shuun is reported to have been detained without reason. --Ogaden Online News
