What message is Martin Plaut exactly trying to relay to the international body? Has he perhaps been hired as a crier of doom and gloom in order to pave the way for trouble, where there is none? The last time President Isaias Afworki was asked if he anticipated another war with the woyane , his immediate response was “for what purpose” Indeed! For what purpose? There even was no purpose the last time, if it were not for the bad advice of outsiders. So what more reason is there left to go to war for, unless some other party, behind the scene, is itching to start a war with Eritrea , and is again sending the woyane as a pretext.
And what is the reason behind Martin Plaut's announcement, especially since he is saying that the commission will demarcate the borders despite the absence of an agreement between the two parties, outside the already standing final and binding verdict, which Eritrea has always stood by steadfastly. And if, as he said, the commission would go ahead and demarcate the borders, it is with the commission, and not with Eritrea , that the woyane should raise the matter, unless it is trouble that they are after. But if, nevertheless, against Eritrea's control and will, a war should break out, it will be the duty of the Eritrean government to defend and protect the land and the people, until such time that the United Nations or the International Community should intervene , as they should according to the UN Charter, instead of looking the other way as they did the last time Eritrea was attacked. And to the following Plaut statement:
With all the insinuations, sensationalism, and false rumors being thrown around, and based on her last bitter experience, it should surprise no one that Eritrea should be in the defensive mode, ready to defend herself in the case of any eventuality, as this time she will not accept any surprises and will therefore be as vigilant as one can be. But getting ready for any eventuality should not be interpreted to mean that Eritrea is looking to start another war, but that she is only being alert, especially with all the announcements being heralded from the western nations and their non-independent sold-out media, such as the BBC.
Since when does the woyane leader care about people being split? Has he forgotten that it was he who split Eritrean families before deporting them to their homeland with sometimes nothing to wear on their backs? And now he is worried about neighbors being divided by a single line on the ground! Is he perhaps worried they might not be able to drink coffee together? This is laughable and is only being raised as a pretext to save face for the many thousands of Ethiopians who had to senselessly kill and die for a land that never needed defending because it never belonged to them in the first place. This is what it is all about, and his western friends are trying to help him save face, no matter how many more young lives should perish again. A person who pretends to care so much about splitting people by a single line on the ground, should then not be so readily prepared to start something as monstrous as another war. Therefore, BBC's Martin Plaut should be adviced to stay clear out of this before he finds the blood of thousands of youths in his hands, since he does not seem to know what he is talking about. In other words he should not take the idea of war lightly. Surely , reporters too must have a heart and a conscience somewhere in their system! With truth always by her side, Eritrea will always prevail. |
