ImageThe Eritrean Ambassador to the Netherlands Mr. Mohammed Sulieman held a Town Hall meeting as a continuation of the campaign of Hizbawi Mekete in the Netherland.

The meeting conducted in the cities of Rotterdam and Amsterdam, respectively on December 1 and 2, 2007. About one thousand Eritrean residing in both cites and their environs have participated with great enthusiasm.

The Ambassador, in his meeting, explained extensively the objective current affairs in Eritrea and the region. He underlined: Eritrea’s efforts to promote regional peace and security, development achievements in health, education, the status of Eritrea Ethiopia Boundary Commission’s work.

In addition, he exposed Woyane’s and its superiors’ baseless acts of defamation and unjustified hostility against the Eritrean people and government. At the moment, Woyane and its superiors are beating the drum of war. “But,” the Ambassador explained, “once again, what the regime and its masters are preparing to launch is a suicidal war.”

Ambassador Mohammed Sulieman reminded the participants that the Eritrean people, without having any external help, have challenged and triumphed over successive invasions because of the people’s strong commitment and solid unity. Hence, all acts of aggression against the Eritrean cause were rebuffed and ploys against the people's unity were foiled. He further urged all Eritreans in Holland to stay alert for any eventuality.

At the end of the meeting, he praised the current Hizbawi Mekete, in which Eritrean government conducting through out Eritrea and its efforts to promote peace in the region. And at the end he gave answers to questions asked from the public.

The participants in their part expressed their firm support for national unity and sovereignty of their homeland.
