How does one un-ring the bell?

The news read: “ intelligence agencies have concluded that Iran halted its nuclear weapons program in 2003 and that international pressure has compelled the Islamic Republic to back away from its pursuit of the bomb” It also stated that: “Iran has the scientific, technical and industrial capacity eventually to produce nuclear weapons”

This last disclosure, i.e the fact that Iran now has the knowledge to produce nuclear weapons, has, instead of relenting on all his rhetoric about sanctioning or invading Iran, President George W. Bush still feel threatened by the mere fact that now the Iranians have that knowledge. The question now is, how does one uninstall such a knowledge from the minds of the Iranian scientists?

If the brain were a computer it might have been possible, but then, even in a computer, we are told that uninstalling something that had once been installed is not something easily gotten rid of by deleting or by uninstalling. Once the computer is fed, it is there forever, unless the computer is completely smashed and made useless. I guess the same goes with the human brain. But George W. Bush is insisting that the Iranians forget their knowledge of how to assemble and produce nuclear weapons, otherwise the possibility of sanctions or invasion still stands. I suggest that they just fake amnesia. But incase he comes up with the excuse that amnesia can in time reverse itself, perhaps being diagnosed with Alzheimer would do the job – just to put Emperor W. Bush’s ridiculous way of thinking at ease.

This is the type of empire that the world is having to deal with, in this twenty first century. Emperor George Bush and his administration are just past the limit of making any sense whatsoever. The world sees it everyday. but has become impotent to react or say anything to this ferociously powerful mindless giant born without a soul or a brain.

They prepare an agreement between two nations in order to bring about peace, and when it has all been agreed to and signed by the parties concerned, they try everything in their power to undo and reverse its outcome, just because it did not meet their expectations.

They invade a country like Somalia under an assumed name (weyane) helping an unpopular group which was setup outside of the country and not voted in by the people, to take power, while snatching power from a government that had shown promise and which was accepted by the people, thereby causing many injuries, deaths, displacement and migration. And now, they are contemplating on abandoning the very government they had set up leaving all the mess that they had produced to their poor allies the weyane.

Senator Jim Inhofe in his zeal to defend the weyane and to defeat the Legislation Act H.R.2003 inadvertently said the following, which clearly proves that the war in Somalia is an American war with Ethiopian soldiers made as proxies and mine sweepers, despite the lies told to Andrew Simmons by the weyane leader at Al –Jazeera where he said there was no American involvement whatsoever These are the very words of Senator Jim Inhofe:

“Remember what happened the other day. A few weeks ago, we were sending our troops down to Mogadishu and the Ethiopians were fighting right there by our side. That was not an easy thing for them to do. That endangered them because there are many opposition groups who would then go into Ethiopia, and they paid dearly for supporting us. But they did so. They have remained committed to promoting regional stability and eliminating any staging area for al-Qaida or other terrorist organizations. In 2006, they sent roughly 100,000 troops with us into Somalia, into Mogadishu. We were successful in defeating the Islamic coalition. They did that for us. Despite these advancements, Somalia remains a continued concern for growing extremism and the violence continues to escalate. The Ogaden region which borders Somalia is also a growing place of hostility and Islamic terrorism. The ongoing insurgency in the region has taken a drastic toll on the civilian population, significantly affecting commercial trade and humanitarian aid.”

As I already mentioned, in his Al-Jazeera interview with Andrew Simmons, the weyane leader, with a straight face, told him that he never refused to accept the EEBC verdict, and was therefore never a hindrance for the demarcation of the border. Even Andrew Simmons was too embarrassed to pursue the question the answer to which he found very confusing. Again the weyane leader insisted that the Somali war was planned and executed solely by the weyane and that America had nothing to do with it. Here we have a Senator, no less, who should know better, telling us that it was the USA that invaded and that the weyane were simply helping. How does one un-ring that!

There still is more lies, intrigues and ridiculous demands coming from the White House as well as from the State Department, but who is counting. These are low life and hard core liars who have no honor or conscience. To them lying is a right of passage and a way of life. We will just have to wait out this remaining one year plus duration of the Bush administration and hope for a future more honest, more serious and sober administration. If nothing else, at least we will be rid of Frazer and Rice. In the meantime we have to be vigilant and do the best we can to protect and defend our rights and to act wisely and not fall into the trap that they are always laying down before us for any kind of pretext to invade. Knowing what we know, we should always be prepared, and act slow in responding or reacting. Like the Italians say “a warned person is half way saved”

So let us learn from all this and know our enemy’s state of mind and act accordingly. Let us, in this season of peace, as we prepare to celebrate Christmas, the Birthday of our Lord the Prince of Peace, not be disturbed by all the rumblings of the spineless media coalition or the state department of the United States of America. May peace reign in all our hearts, and may we together in unity defeat the evils being instigated against our beloved young country.

With truth always at her side, Eritrea will prevail
